At Piper Glen Animal Hospital, we believe the best way to treat medical problems is to prevent them. Be sure to schedule yearly check-ups for your pet along with regular vaccinations. We offer special programs for new puppies and kittens as well as senior dogs and cats. Piper Glen Animal Hospital also offers the expertise and technological capability to properly assess your pet’s condition and, in doing so, provide the appropriate treatment. Our in house lab enables us to perform routine diagnostics and advanced blood work instantly. We have a state of the art ultrasound machine, blood pressure machine, and even an otoendoscope to properly evaluate your pet’s ear problems. Our advanced practice management software enables us to send radiograph images, ultrasound pictures, and even ultrasound video clips to specialists around the country with just a click of a button! This telemedicine software will allow us to consult with boarded veterinary specialists on your pet to ensure that he or she is receiving the best possible care. For the comfort and well being of our hospitalized patients, we have a separate Intensive Care Unit with specialized cages that provide climate control, humidification, oxygen supplementation, and even heated floors. Using the latest in technology and research ensures unparalleled medical care from diagnosis to treatment. We want your pet to feel as comfortable as possible while receiving the most advanced care available. |
| Surgical |
| If a surgical procedure is required, it will be handled and monitored by a skilled team using the latest surgical equipment. Our surgical patients are monitored while under anesthesia with a pulse oximeter and capnograph which is the most sensitive technology available. We use a gas anesthetic, Isoflurane, which is used in humans and thus extremely safe. All of our surgical patients are managed pre and postoperatively with pain medications. We are also very proud to offer Laser Surgery as an option to the traditional method of surgery. This process causes no bleeding, little, if any, pain and rarely requires post-operative care. |

We offer dematting, full scissor cuts, baths, brushes and specialized grooming for cats, along with a full line of grooming care products. Our specialized ventilation system is especially designed for maximum comfort and airborne disease prevention. Rest assured your pets will reside in an environment that offers the finest in air quality control-from ultraviolet filters to special zones with high fresh air exchanges. For your cat or dog, this translates into comfort and safety and for you this means peace of mind while you are away from your pet. Our canine accommodations include everything from windowed dog suites to dog condos and traditional boarding arrangements. Our feline guests will enjoy a view of the great outdoors as well as an ocean front view from our beautiful aquarium. Some of our other special features include automatic water bowls for the dogs, intercoms so owners may call and speak to their dogs, overhead music to relax the animals and a natural area for walking the dogs.
